ADULTS – TEENS – CHILDREN
BIT significantly reduce the challenges of ADD/ADHD in as little as 12 hours – without medication.
It can be painful to experience or watch a loved one suffer from the symptoms of ADHD or learning difficulties. These symptoms can make navigating school, work, relationships, and LIFE much more difficult than it needs to be!
Both children and adults with ADHD/ADD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties may experience: decreased self esteem, feeling stupid, feeling like a failure, feeling hopeless, difficulty with communication and relationships, resistance to trying difficult tasks.
The inability to perform certain mental tasks such as reading, math calculations, memory, and organizing is often not due to a lack of understanding the question or knowing how to do it; but an inability to access the subconscious functions required to get the answer. Brain Integration Technique (BIT) can help to improve access to these areas so that you can easily and successfully go about your everyday life.
When all parts of the brain are communicating effectively, learning is easy, emotions are manageable, and executive function soars.
Traditional treatment approaches often involve a combination of behavioral therapy, educational support, and medication. Stimulant or non-stimulant medication are often prescribed to manage symptoms of ADHD by increasing certain neurotransmitters in the brain, depending on the individual’s specific needs and circumstances.
Many people have benefited greatly from taking medications to manage their symptoms and help them function at school or work. However, many have unwanted side effects, and after a time they may stop working all together. For those managing substance abuse issues, some people, the medications can complicate addiction recovery efforts.
Alternative modalities are often used alongside more traditional methods. Examples of alternative therapy approaches include Brain Integration Technique, mindfulness mediation, neurofeedback, equine therapy, diet modifications, and sensory integration therapy.
“Our brains are built to learn. And learning is easy when all areas of the brain are accessible and all routes that connect them are.
BIT resets the brains normal information-processing and problem-solving machinery. It helps people with learning and processing difficulties by correcting the mis-routing and improper timing of information being sent to the brain, clearing any blocks along the way, and thereby reducing the barriers to learning and cognitive tasks. Additionally, in a fully integrated brain there is no emotional interference and the information can easily be recalled at a later time.”

BIT: An Alternative Medicine Technique For ADHD
BIT is an alternative medicine technique that aims to optimize brain function, sensory data and emotional regulation. It utilizes concepts from bioenergetic kinesiology, acupressure, neurology, and other modalities to improve communication between different areas of the brain. This improves mental tasks such a, learning, memory, emotional regulation and fosters a general sense of well-being.
The BIT protocol was originally designed to effectively addresses symptoms of ADD/ADHD, dyslexia and other learning difficulties. It is a drug-free, non-invasive option for students struggling in the classroom and focuses on relieving stress in the brain to improve the way they think, behave, and feel.
BIT systematically addresses 20 different brain areas and functions such as: speech centers, the limbic system, eye movements, auditory-visual integration, the vestibular system, marching, memory, math, reading, writing, puzzles, coding, creativity and gestalt skill, logic and organizing, emotional attitudes, muscles and movement, etc.
Additionally, by improving communication between parts of the brain, emotional regulation, sleep difficulties, and symptoms associated with anxiety and PTSD also improve. The process works equally well for adults with ADD/ADHD who are struggling with relationships, work, and daily “adulting.”
The Benefits of BIT for Those with Learning Difficulties
BIT can have a tremendous positive impact on a child or adult with ADHD or a learning difficulty. By improving brain communication using the non-invasive Brain Integration Technique many clients experience:
Improved focus and concentration
Improved memory
Improved planning and task initiation
Increased attention span
Decreased test and performance anxiety
Improved reading, math, and spelling
Improved auditory processing
Improved eye movements and tracking
Improved classroom behavior
Increased ability to self regulate
Very often children (and adults) experience less resistance to homework/chores, improved grades, and a decrease of avoidance or withdrawing from challenging situations. These positive changes can also lead to greater self confidence and sense of self-worth. It can also help foster the development of appropriate social and relationship skills, and a general sense of well-being.
How Can McKinney Brain Integration Help You?
The full BIT protocol typically takes between 12 and 14 hours. More hours may be required depending on the depth of the difficulties. BIT follows a specific protocol. By following the protocol, the symptoms of ADD/ADHD and dyslexia are relieved. Often, clients see some results after just a few hours of treatment!
Once completed, a follow-up session is highly recommended in order to address any remaining concerns. Continued BIT or kinesiolgy work is encouraged, if needed. Tutoring and/or coach may also be recommended to fully develop the skills that the brain is now able to perform.
Does it sound like BIT might be helpful for you or a loved one? Please call for a free 20-minute consultation to learn how McKinney Brain Integration can help. We look forward to serving you!
STATISTICS FOR ADHD AND LEARNING DIFFICULTIES (LD)
Nearly 10% of children aged 3-17 years old have been diagnosed with ADHD. (2019)
About 3 in 10 children with ADHD also have a diagnosis of anxiety.
About 50% of children with ADHD have behavioral problems.
At least 62% of children with ADHD were receiving mediation to manage it.
Dyslexia affects 20% of the population.
1/3 of students with IEP’s for LD have been held back a grade. This raises the risk of dropping out.
Students with LD have a high school drop out rate 3x greater than all students.
A large study found that half of young adults with LD or OHI had been involved with the justice system.
Young adults with LD enroll in four-year colleges at half the rate of the general population.
48% of parents incorrectly believe that kids grow out of learning differences.
NOTE: THE FULL PROTOCOL IS REQUIRED FOR FULL AND LASTING CHANGE.
It is very important that clients understand that the BIT protocol is not a one-session quick fix. Completion of the ENTIRE protocol is absolutely necessary to achieve full and lasting results. Each phase of the protocol builds on the phases before it, and some of the most significant parts are at the end.
